Stayed here with my Topdeck tour for two nights. Breakfast was fine, rooms are a bit cold with the tiled floors though. Easy to get to but it is a bit far from the city centre. Staff were also kind enough to let us leave our luggage at the hotel while we explored on our last day in Rome. Two... More

I booked Hotel Esquilino in central Rome through HotelPronto (via Trivago) on 14/02/13 and severely let down by HotelPronto which also operates under the names “Eclusively Hotels” and “TotalStay”. We arrived at the hotel 23.30 to find it boarded up for renovation; I called HotelPronto to be told a room had been reserved for us at Hotel Giotto. It was... More

We stayed here as part of a Topdeck Tour with 40+ people. You walk into lobby of this hotel and for a moment you are wowed - it looks really nice and there is even free and fast wi-fi. It all goes down hill from there! On arrival to the hotel we were told that some rooms were not quite... More

We stayed here for two night as part of a tour group of 20-somethings. The lobby area is lovely, almost deceptively so. The hallways and stairwells are desperately in need of refurbishment. There are some truly horrifying stains in the carpets. Our room was a decent size, with a balcony and big windows. The shower had good water pressure and... More

This hotel has a beautiful foyer, bar & restaurant. The rooms are also well appointed & clean, however a little on the small side. Breakfast in the restaurant was lovely. This hotel is located a bus and metro ride away from Rome. We shared a cab home from the city with another couple in the evening which was a far better... More

Stayed here twice with a tour group. The only thing nice about this hotel is the lobby! Rooms are abit outdated. First room was a decent size with small balcony but the bed was against the wall. Second time the room was so tiny but the balcony was like 7 times the size of our room. It was pretty pointless... More

Nothing is good about this place. The location is about 30 minute walk to nearest train station. The area is run down and would not be safe to walk at night. The hotel itself if in need of desperate repairs and maintenance to both the inside and outside. We stayed here as part of a Topdeck Tour. Carpets stained and... More

Spent a night here as part of a tour... Well that was an eye opener, this hotel is pretty much in the slums of Rome and is old, run down, dirty and over priced. Room included breakfast, ham and cheese on bread! Avoid this one if possible...

Traveling as a couple on tour again. Good wee room, nice to have balcony although not much of a view. We managed to get lost trying to get home from town ;) it is a wee way out, but still good. Poor housekeepers, we had laundry drying in the bathroom, a common occurrence for us. Two nights spent here, enjoyed... More

We stayed here as part of a tour, thankfully for just one night...the hotel lobby is very decieving because its spacious and quite nice. However when we got to our room it smelt bad, the furniture was old and falling apart, there was a layer of dust over everything, there was actual MOULD on the ceiling directly above the two... More
