My partner and I went to Rome for our joint birthday's in early Jan '07. Whilst the hotel was very nicely furnished, I'd have swapped that for a more helpful staff and the ability to have a cup of tea after long sight seeing trips! There was merely a dismissive "no" when tea was requested at 8.15pm. They claim the... more

I stayed at The Celio for the duration of my time in Rome. Great hotel location with the Coliseum just a minutes walk away. The hotel decor is certainly over the top but gives the hotel a definite charm. Overall though my experience in the Celio was not a positive one. Although the rooms are clean and well kept, they... more

We stayed in this hotel for the night before we got married and the subsequent three nights in mid October 2003. The cost at the time was €250 per night. Which I thought was excessive but it was close to everthing, Collaseum,Forum and most of all the Irish College where we got married. The hotel was pretty and looked nice.... more

This hotel is too precious, and not in a good way. I booked two nights directly at the hotel and upon first viewing, it looked to be quite charming. However, we were to find out upon staying there that it is expensive for what you receive, small dark room with mildew smelling bathroom, virtually non-existant air conditioning even though they... more

Beautifully appointed hotel, gorgeous portraits everywhere, but customer service was terrible. From the front desk to the waiter/cook (who hurried us through breakfast) it seemed we were not treated like treasured guests. We reserved the room for 4 people plus in- room breakfast(which they offered). However, when reminded about the in-room already-paid-for breakfast, they balked, and said it was not... more

We were looking for a upscale hotel conveniently located in Rome that had a room large enough to accomodate my wife and I and our two teenaged children. The Celio had the perfect room for us......a king bed and two singles. Our hotel room, halls, lobby, were all beautifully furnished and incredibly clean. The breakfast in the courtyard was well... more

We were four adults visiting Rome (in July ) for the first time and booked 2 rooms for 4 nights directly with the Celio, through e-mail . Rome was very, very hot and we were so glad we had such a great place to reurn to each day. The arrangements were made easily with prompt replies to all questions and... more

What a wonderfully delightful hotel right in the heart of the eternal City! We spent three days there in May and everything about it was just magical... Roberto and his team looked after us like we were old friends and there is an incredibly stylish charm about the place which reminds one of some of the best Venetian interiors... don't... more

We were delighted with every aspect of this chic boutique hotel. In particular, it is very clean, beautifully furnished, and well positioned for the major sights. The attention to detail in all respects is admirable but above all we were made to feel welcome at all times. The suites are worth the extra and get one on the top floor... more

The Hotel Celio is very clean, quaint, and one of the few places that we stayed on our two week trip that was quiet. Breakfast in the courtyard each morning was fantastic. We really enjoyed the view out our window because we could see the Colosseum at the end of the street. We have already recommended this hotel to family... more
