Just back from a six day break in Rome. The hotel Rovere we found was in a good location. Round the corner from the Vatican (5 mins) Piazza Navona (10 mins) don't buy a drink from the bars on Pza Navona nearly died. Roem is very walkable the only place we caught a bus to was the Catacombs. Anyway back... more

We stayed in La Rovere for 5 nights and were very pleased with our overall stay. The location is within walking distance of the Vatican, Piazza Navona and the Trastevere area. The room was small, we upgraded to a deluxe room with terrace, it was expensive (€150+ p.n) but the terrace was spacious and well maintained. Air conditioning was optional... more

We stayed at La Rovere for 3 nights. It is in a very quiet and central location in Rome. The staff was extremely friendly and our triple room was quite large with a clean bathroom. We had a private balcony and although the view was nothing special, we enjoyed sitting out there after a long day of sightseeing and walking,... more

Great base for exploring Rome on foot. Vatican 10 mins, central Rome 20 mins, Colosseum and Spanish Steps 30 mins. Rooms clean with air con (extra charge), safe, fridge/bar, decent sized bathroom. Hotel away from hustle and bustle in quiet cobbled street. Good continental breakfast. Helpful staff. more

My family and I just spent a week in Rome and stayed at Hotel La Rovere. The staff was very pleasant and accomodating and the room was very clean. We also had a beautiful view from the balcony off our room. The location is excellent for walking around Rome. I would highly recommend this hotel! more

We are very pleased from our staying in Hotel La Rovere: absolutely quiet, very clean and situated in a very convinient and secure region for tourists (next to Vatican). Breakfast is decent. Although the rooms are small, the whole atmosphere and friendly service gives you the best impression (we paid 120 Euro per night - including taxes and breakfast) -... more

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel La Rovere for seven days and felt that this family run hotel felt more like home than a hotel. He felt the location was excellent for exploring Rome. Extremely close to the Vatican but with it's location below Monte Gianicolo provide breath taking views of the city both during the day and... more
