We had fabulous six days in Rome thanks to the Residenza Zanardelly comfortable accomodations, very friendly and helful staff. The small, imaculately clean hotel is a hidden jem in the best part of Rome and a walking distance from everything you would like to see. It has an artistic atmosphere, a smiling one person staff at all times and a... more

The Residenza Zanardelli is a 7-room residence on the second floor of a building on Via Zanardelli. It was initially a little hard to find but only because the sign on the front was covered by some scaffolding. We took the bus here from Roma Termini station and the building is next door to a Persian rug store (on the... more

I have been in this tiny Hotel. When we arrived we spend more that an hour to find it. Even the tax driver couldnt locate where exactly the hotel was. We had to phone them to come out of the street to pick us. But the owner never showed concerned about the trouble we had the the extra money we... more

This is a tiny hotel/bed and breakfast but it does not claim to be anything other than that. The location was fabulous; I was travelling with my 5 year-old and the proximity of the Piazza Navona and the fabulous gelateria/pizzaria on its corner was a blessing for quick meals. The breakfast was sufficient and at a communal table which allowed... more

I wonder why they have called it an hotel. It is a poor quality hotel. I think they need to call it bed and breakfast. We stayed there for 3 days and we promesed ourselves to find a better hotel when we come back to Rome more

This "hotel" is not a hotel, the name says it, "Residenza". It is part (7 rooms )of the second floor of a building in a good location of Rome (P. Navona). As far as I can tell it's as close to a bed and breakfast as you'll ever find, just don't tell the owner. He very rudely explained that we... more

2006 Nov. Be honest with your expectations. This is a basic, centrally located hotel on a main road in front of a very busy bus stop - the area is quite noisy. Slept with the windows closed. After the first night, fatigue solved the noise problem. We found the 50F ambient temp warm, thus the room felt "hot". Meanwhile the... more

we checked out of a 5 star indisgust - the Zanardelli were our rescue - great location, courteous (if not chatty) staff, very clean, nicely appointed rooms. Everything it says on the tin! The location if just perfect - just off Piazza Navona - air con, large room, shower-room (no bath), reasonable breakfast - would stay again - no question,... more

The manager of the hotel was so incredibly rude to my husband and me that we left after the first night. We planned on staying 4. I have never left a hotel where we had reservations. The majority of my travel experiences in Italy have been wonderful, so I was shocked by how poorly we were treated. It seemed as... more
