Stayed here for 5 nights at the start of our honeymoon. It's a short hike from the train station -- walkable if you don't have too much luggage. The breakfast was very pleasant, with freshly baked croissants, a few cheeses, yogurts, and cereals, and a lovingly prepared cappuchino. Room was adequate, clean, quiet, and comfortable enough. Wi-fi available, $5 for... more

The Apollo was a nice surprise and a great value. We were not expecting such a nice hotel and didn't know the location was so perfect for what we wanted to do in Rome. A family owned and run hotel, the Apollo is beautifully decorated and centrally located right up the street from the coliseum. There are plenty of restaurants... more

Great family hotel, I will definitely come back next time I go to Rome. We arrived around 11 am, just wanted to leave our bags there and come later for the check-in, but the room was already ready. We got a map of Rome with explanation and detailed directions to the historical sights and shopping possibilities around. They also advised... more

We returned today from a week long holiday, staying at the Hotel Apollo. We were given a triple room although we had only requested a double, so had extra space. The room was at the back of the hotel and was very quiet, although quite dark. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was very clean and the lift was modern.... more

After a cruise from Italy to Greece and back, my adult son and I wanted to spend a little time in Rome sightseeing. Since he's most interested in ancient Rome, I wanted to stay within walking distance of the coliseum and forum and other famous landmarks. When you step outside the Apollo, you can see the colsseum at the end... more

We stayed at the Apollo in the end of July. What can I say?! Excellent hotel, friendly and helpful stuff, really good breakfast especially cakes and cappucino in a big cup. 7 minutes walk to Colloseum and 15 to Trevi Fountain. Nicely decorated spacious room with big bathroom. When I'm in Rome next time I would definetely stay in this... more

I spent a weekend at the Apollo, a brief break between two weeks of meetings in Europe. It was my first trip to Rome and I wanted something located close to the historic sights. Well- the Apollo is certainly close to everything! It is midway between the Trevi fountain and the Coliseum, a 7 minute stroll to either. My single... more

Just returned from 4 nights at the Apollo Hotel in Rome. For a short stay, the location is perfect for walking to the primary tourist sites (we took the subway once - going to the Vatican, walked back). The neighborhood was great, a number of choices for restaurants and a few bars nearby, quiet side street, very safe. Our room... more

We stayed at the Apollo hotel for 3 nights and 4 days in the beginning of May. We got picked up from the airport and they made sure we were not overcharged. We also got there early and they let us leave our bags there till the room was ready and when we came back our bags were already waiting... more
