We were given the choice of two rooms, one was an upgrade on the 5th floor, we took this room as it was more modern and looked like it had been refurbished. Although not dead in the centre of Rome, City Guest House is a 10 minute train ride from the essential sites. Buy a three day tourist train ticket for 11 Euro. The hotel is close to 'normal' shops & you will save a fortune by eating at the local restaurants & cafes. more

Could not believe our luck when we arrived at this clean, cheerful ikea clad hotel. Very cheap and a great location in a quiet suburb a couple of minutes walk from a metro stop.
