We stayed in the hotel from 22 to 26 June 2009. The hotel is actually lot worse than advertised. It is a very old and run down building but expensive. Rooms are tiny, highspeed internet was advertised but unavailable during our stay, we were told that it was broken. Food in the restaurant was far from being Italian as fas... more

Stayed with my family for a long weekend - took my dad for his birthday to see the sights particularly the Vatican. Hotel very clean and comfortable with a super breakfast buffet - hot and cold food not just the basic bread and coffee. Only 5 mins from metro station which is 3 stops from Vatican and gives real easy... more

We went to Rome for a long weekend. It was a gift for me and my husband from our son. When we arrived at Rome Airport, we had been prepared to find a Taxi to get to our Hotel. However we were approached by a friendly man asking if we wanted a shuttle bus to our Hotel. He had four... more

I booked this hotel because I had a really early morning flight out of Fiumicino and wanted to be on the way out of town, on Via Aurelia, instead of in the center. For that it was good, but otherwise I would have stayed close to the center even if it meant spending the same for less. The hotel isn't... more

We had never been to Rome and so weren't sure about the location. Whilst it was out of the city there was excellent access via the metro which was a short stroll away. We had 2 rooms, a suite and a classic room as we were travelling with our teenage daughters. Both rooms were lovely- contemporary and relatively spacious. The... more

Only stayed for one night so didn't really get the feel for the place. But our room was smartly decorated but only had a view of the courtyard. The tube ride into town is a little long but ok and the walk from the tube to the hotel you have to cross over roads. Whenever doing that in Rome you... more

This hotel was excellent. Was travelling with parents in their fifties and while the hotel is outside the city, we actually found it quite relaxing and quite convenient. The taxi into the city was not expensive (around 10 euros one way) and there were a few family run restaurants relatively nearby with excellent value food. The amenities were top-notch, really... more

While this was a beautiful hotel in georgeous surroundings we found it to be a hotel with just a room. The room was cleaned daily to a high standard and fresh towels provided. At night the corridors can be very noisy and you can hear toilets flushing and doors closing. All floors are marble and the noise echos. There were... more

bit of a rough ish area, quick walk to the metro. It does mean to get to see Rome for what it really is. Room was lovely, doors bang a little... but think you have to allow for such things... hotel staff very helpful. Brekkie was ok, service a little odd... more

We have just returned from a conference in Rome, Italy were had no choice of hotels, the conference planners booked the Hotel Torre Rossa and this hotel. At check-in we were assigned the Grand Hotel Plazzo Carpegna. We were not happy with this as the conference was actually being held in the Torre Rossa. However, once we arrived at the... more
