Stayed for 4 nights in a mixed 8-bed dorm. Paid €17 per night, which was very cheap. Hostel is located in a relatively dodgy area very close to Termini, along with a lot of other low-cost accommodation. While the feeling of personal safety was a bit low when wandering back to the hostel late at night, there was never any... more

I stayed in the Alessandro Hostel from sept 5th to sept 9th 2007. This was the first hostel I had ever stayed in because this was my first trip to Europe. I didn't know what to expect. When I arrived at the Termini, I searched for the hostel, but couldn't find it immediately. But when I found it, I was... more

I stayed here for 3 nights in the beginning of october and i had a great experence. The hostel is about a 2 minute walk from Roma Termini, which is good since my train arived at 11:30pm the walk there looks like a dodgy neighborhood there was grafiti on the walls and it was real dark but i never felt... more

I chose this hostel because of the location - just minutes from Rome's Termini Train station. And I was really glad to stay in a place that was so central - lots of bus options, people out at night, restaurant you can walk to and several places in the area to use the Internet and make phone calls. The beds... more

This is the best hostel EVER: * Rooms are really big, I stayed in a 10p dorm and It was amazingly clean and confortable, lots of lockers, cupboards, plugs, mirrors, a desk, chairs, lights in each bed, can't be better. *Location is excelent, did't use public transport at all (also 'cause rome is too nice to use the metro), close... more

Really nice place. I visited Rome with 15 friends and we stayed in a large room with 8 bunk beds. It was very nice. Very clean(except for my smelly friends!) and the staff was helpful and friendly. Great location and a cool view of a cathedral from our room. Breakfast was included and suited us just fine, and the same... more

Stayed: June 30th - July 3rd 2006 Service: Excellent. The people who run Alessandro's are positively dolls. I must have contacted them 3 times before even arriving to make changes to our reservation without a hitch. Rooms: Beware, if you're a whiner.... there is no Air Conditioning. This presents itself as a problem in July.... but you manage. I think... more

After staying in some truly nasty hostels in England, I was pessimistic about the hostel in Rome, but we couldn't afford anything else. I was definitely pleasantly surprised! The hostel is in a building with some residential units, so you have to be quiet in the stairs at night. Our room was really nice (a six bed female dorm), with... more

This hostel was perfect - clean, spacious, fan in the room, hot showers, free breakfast and lockers under the beds to keep your stuff safe. Staff were very friendly - helped out with any questions about Rome or what to do. Near termini station but this was convenient cos you can just jump on almost any bus from the centre... more
