My husband and I stayed at one of the Beehive apartments for 2 nights while in Rome. We had been told beforehand that we would be in one the apartments and that the area was not as nice as where The Beehive is located, so we knew what we were getting ourselves into. The apartment is lovely and clean, and... more

Rome was the last leg of our three week trip to Italy. We were tired and hoping for a pleasant stay. We were so pleasantly surprised by the beehive that we could have kept going for another three weeks. This is not a typical hotel, with fancy amenities, but the staff is kind, the food at the small cafe wonderful,... more

We stayed for 2 nights in a dorm room at the Beehive which is conveniently located near the Termini but has good security and is quiet (i.e. you don't hear noise from the street). The dorm room was very big, light and airy and the bathrooms were clean. The common room is lovely with books and a computer (in addition... more

We used to stay in hotel's further from the train station, but once we found the Beehive, it's proximity to the station, as well as great prices have made it our hotel of choice in Rome. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and there's even a small vegetarian restaurant on site where you can dine in... more

We stayed at both the main The Beehive and the Clover apartments. The Beehive was a wonderful stay, the room was bright, clean and comfortable - a joy. We did order happy hour drinks - two beers for €6 with a snack, bargain, though the chef was no where in sight so the snacks were not forthcoming - the service... more

We stayed at Clover for a few days. This is a self-contained apartment in a residential block with 3 lockable bedrooms and a shared lobby, bathroom and kitchen. Plus points first: the shared areas are reasonably clean and the location right next to Termini station is brilliant for sightseeing. Our guidebooks warn against the station area after dark but we... more

Management response from
LindaatTheBeehive, Owners

When potential guests inquire about apartment rentals or when we offer the alternative of a room at one of our apartments because we are full at The Beehive, we make everything very clear with the guest beforehand in a very detailed letter which addresses all the points that make the apartments different than The Beehive's main facility. The "crusty toenail"...

The hotel was clean, the staff were helpful with local tips and good places to eat. the cafe downstairs had great food, and it was pay what you think its worth. The suggested price list was WAY under what i thought it was worth. I think the hotel is owned by an american couple. Super easy to get to .... more

My stay at the Beehive was fantastic - accomodating staff, late check-in possible, clean rooms, and a restaurant experience that was as unique (you pay what you think the meal is worth) as it was yummy (great vegetarian food). Being only a few blocks from the main train station (stazione termini) and reasonably priced, this is a great option for... more

Stayed in the dorm room for 4 nights and it was great! Very clean, bright and airy. The location is not too bad either - not scary or dodgy at night as often mentioned in the travel guides. The only downfall was the cool, sometimes rude and dismissive staff. After reading all the raving reviews this was somewhat of a... more

hi folks, Had a nice stay at the beehive. Clean and quiet ideal for solo travellers. Not much of an atmosphere in the kitchen or communal areas. Kitchen staff were a bit unfriendly especially Marlene. Maybe sick of tourist etc.. more
