I arrived to the hotel on the evening of Saturday, September 4, 2005, and their was no room available despite the reservation had been confirmed and paid in advance 40 days before. The hotel receptionist offered to move us to a hotel 20 metres down the road, which I found to be a Bed & Breakfast of far inferior quality.... more

I chose this hotel based on comments about to Il Piccolo on Trip Advisor. My Girlfirend and I stayed for two weeks and we were certainly not dissapointed. In the two weeks, we could not find one single complaint. The Rooms were spotless, The breakfast was good, The location was absolutely excellent - only 2 minutes walk from the Spanish... more

Great hotel, location exellent 5 minutes to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. We stayed in the Michelangelo room which has it's own terrace. It was nice to sit out on and have breakfast, and lovely on an evening with a bottle of vino. The room was basic, but very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only fault was the jacuzzi in the bathroom did not work.We... more

Best thing about this hotel is it's location very close to Spanish Steps and within easy walking distance of all major Rome sights and experiences including the Vatican. During the three days we spent in Rome (three nights at the hotel) we did not use public transport at all apart from a shuttle from ciampino airport to hotel (see warning... more

We have just had four nights at this hotel as we went to celebrate a friend's 40th birthday in Rome. From the moment we checked in on Thursday lunchtime to when we checked out on Monday morning this hotel does exactly what it says on the tin. The staff were friendly and efficient and the girl (can't remember her name... more

Superb hotel. Just returned from a fascinating weekend exploring Rome and what a great base to stay. If you are lucky enough to get a balcony then you cannot go wrong for chilling out with a beer or wine after a tough day touring this incredible city. The staff are friendly and helpful and when we return to Rome will... more

This was a great little hotel and really lived up to the reviews. We were lucky enough to have the Giotto room. The rooms are a fair size by European standards, and having the balcony to relax at night was fantastic. The Giotto room is away from the noise of the streets, next to the courtyard of the monastery so... more

This was a great place! The hotel is up on the 4th floor but there is a (very cute) lift. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's in a great location near the Spanish Steps and the subway and we walked everywhere, including the Vatican and the Colliseum. It was an easy walk to the subway with our luggage... more

This hotel was great. It's in a fantastic location just two blocks from the Spanish Steps. The rooms are not glamorous but some of them have charming balconies (ours did) and that made it great. The breakfasts are generous and good, and a very friendly staff serves them. The other hotel employees are all helpful, friendly, smiling, and caring. It... more

We just got back and stayed here 5 nights. What charm!! We couldn't get the Michaelangelo or the Giotto rooms so we were concerned what type of room they'd put us in, but ended up in the Bernini. We were very pleased. Our room was long and narrow, with wooden floors and a lovely balcony. Most importantly, the room and... more
