The Marc Aurelio hotel was not quiet the hotel that me and my friends expected. From the moment we checked in we could see that it would be a stressful time. The staff at the font desk could barely speak english. We finally got the keys to our room, and at first we were surprised at the fact that it... more

Traveller from Leicester, England - Feb 2005 We arrived at the Marc Aurelio after walking around aimlessly from the Metro Station looking for the hotel for about 30 minutes. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were friendly. The bars on the bedroom window and the rubbish piled up outside left alot to be desired. Breakfast was ok, pretty... more

We stayed here for 4 nights ... unfortunately we had to pre-pay for the full stay, otherwise we would have moved. It is nowhere near Vatican/Trastevere and the nearest metro station is at least 10 mins walk away, which is the last station of the line! We had only lukewarm water late at night and early morning, when we mentioned... more

Dissapointed with the hotel facilities.Swimming Pool, surrounded with an equally dirty and broken patio. was a dirty broken up heap-without water. The Restaurant was not run by the Hotel but was franchised and was dreadful. The breakfast was put out, overnight, frozen, and was thawed and very chewy by breakfast time.Coffee was not fresh but came ,lukewarm from a very questionable machine.Dinner,on request, was dumped... more

Looks a bit basic from the outside but this hotel has a nice reception area, the people are nice and courtious and the room was clean and adequate enough for a week in Rome, although the double bed was two single matresses which was a bit annoying. It is situated a bit far from the nearest metro station but the... more

The hotel is clean and comfortable. I only ordered a single, but still got a room with two beds. Satellite TV was provided, although a couple channels didn't come in that well, but a couple channels even were in English. The hotel is about 300 meters from the main road where a bus goes to some of Rome's main attractions,... more
