A great hotel with very modern rooms and facilities. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty. It is a short distance from the metro and is perfectly located for local restaurants and bars serving food and drinks at half the city centre prices. Others have commented that the rooms are small, they are but have... More

The room was small but so are most rooms in most hotels in Rome. The breakfast, however, was rather poor, with much less choice than usually available in other Mercure properties. The location, however, is great as is the local Il Tunnel restaurant nearby. More

All the rooms our group had were very small. Guests had to bring in their own luggage from the bus as there was inadequate staff. Breakfast buffet was adequate. Easy access to the metro. A direct line to the Colluseum and Ancient Forum. A nice area away from the usual tourist crowd. Helpful service. More

Stayed in a single room on the second floor for five nights. The front desk staff were very helpful when I asked for directions or to use the Internet. The room and bath were cleaned daily and it was a good basic room and quiet. Breakfast was ready everyday at 6:30 and was adequate. The area was residential with bus... More

The hotel is located in a quiet residential area, which I think it is a good change from the rest of the crowded area of rome. It is about 5 minutes walk from the Bologna subway station, which is 4 stops from Roma Termini. You can connect to all the rest of rome from here. If you arrive by train... More

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Location was good - in a residential suburb a few stations out of the main tourist areas but it was actually nice to see some locals. Only issue was that we were put in a very strong smelling smoking room our first night, but the staff were nice and fixed it up when they could. More

The Mercure was one of the better hotels we stayed at in Italy however the service was very poor. Staff had little or no knowledge or were unwilling to share their knowledge of the area. We had a full breakfast the first morning that was not good. DO NOT BOTHER WITH FULL BREAKFAST SERVICE. We had to press staff to... More

This hotel is "outside" the old city walls and but with a combined bus/metro pass there was no problem reaching it. Because of its quiet position we had a very good nights sleep. There is a very good bus connection to central Rome/Vatican. There are restaurants, cafes and shops nearby, including an excellent coffee/croissant cafe which we preferred to the... More

The hotel staff is very hospitable and available. We enjoy our stay there!!! The hotel is located 5mn from Piazza Bologna Subway and 15 mn from Coliseo. The 62 bus goes directly to Saint Peter Church after going across Central Roma! The room are nice and neat. The breakfast is good too! More

Hotel is situated in suburban Rome, but within 5 mins walk of the nearest Metro station and only 3 stops to the all-important Termini station. We loved the local ambience, bars, shops and eateries. Hotel could do with a concierge and more literature in English. Some staff were more helpful than others. The bar staff were lovely, knowledgeable and engaged... More
