Very well located a few steps from Vittorio Emmanuelle Metro station, which itself is close to Termini. Hotel has had major refurbishment in terms of decor and furnishings that are worthy of a three star establishment. The room was surprisingly spacious and public areas spotlessly clean but rather clinical ! Breakfasts could be improved with a wider choice of rolls...and not... more

I stayed here for three nights and thought the location was great. Very easy walk to everything (especially loved how we got to walk past the Colosseum on our way back to the hotel each day) and close the metro. We used the metro twice --once to get to Vatican city (although we walked back --very easy walking city) and... more

We stayed for 3 nights. We were told that our room will have a/c but there was none and we were charged for it. When I asked them about a/c, I was told they don't switch on a/c in winter. Don't think early November is winter in Rome. Breakfast includes a very very hard bread roll, unlimited cheese, butter, spreads,... more

Went on a nicely priced get away to Paris/Rome with my gf, booked through gotoday.com. After staying in a hole in wall room (or as my gf said very very basic) in Paris, was pleasantly surprised by Taormina hotel in Rome. We didn’t really figure out the neighborhood - which seemed to be fairly safe. Hotel was located 5 minute... more

Was really worried when we pulled up to the front door and it looked like downtown NY. I am so glad we didn't leave. Great room, Great service, breakfast wasn't all that. We got a roll and some juice. But it was very nice after a long day of walking around to go back to a nice, clean room. only... more

I’ve been of the mind a hotel room should be no more than a place to sleep; this hotel was more than I could ask for. Spacious, updated recently with modern touches, roomy bedroom with a closet and enough room for large suitcases. What I would consider a Huge bathroom and compared to the bathrooms in Florence and Venice it... more

We stayed at the Hotel Taormina 9/8 -9/12/09 and had a pleasant experience. At check in Arvin was very helpful and showed us to our room right away. Our room was small with a small balcony (too small for chairs or a table), the bathroom was actually roomy. One thing is that you are charged 5 euros a day for... more

For starters, the Hotel is OK. it just takes a little getting used to. you check in at the first floor of one building, go down, and then go through a neighboring one to get to your room. so the first piece of advice is dont lug your luggage up to the first floor when you check in... you'll just... more

it is difficult to rate this hotel. we have just returned from a 3-city break and this was the worst of the 3. Whilst our room was quite nice and seemed recently renovated and to a modern specification, the access arrangements were bizarre and the breakfast timings were very limited. The check-in and breakfast room is in an adjacent building... more
