Hotel is close to main railway station - 10 minute walk, giving easy access to central Rome and attractions. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in this area, however, there is a lot of noise from the street. Make sure you ask for a room at the back to avoid the noise. Staff were very helpful and although we... more

Stayed here for four nights. The cost for four nights for a double room was E200 between the two of us, which I have to say was cheap for Rome. Very close to the main train station in Rome which is the Termini station. Breakfast was going to a local cafe around the corner for a coffee and a crossaint... more

We stayed for four nights in this hotel, near the Termini station. A good location for discovering the city, by example the Treves Fontains and the Pantheon are on walking distance. Our room was small and simple. Sanitary facilities were clean and neat. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a croissant and something to drink in a... more

There was barely enough room for our double bed, a small round table and two chairs in our room. The place was pretty weary in decoration and fittings. We lived in our tiny room for 3 days but we loved it. Five minutes walk to Termini station or Piazza della Republica (Metro & other facilities). Lots of bars, internet cafes,... more

Hotels in Rome seem expensive compared to some other cities, but the Virginia Hotel looked OK value (for a triple room) compared to some other hotels in the centre. Good location for Termini station (5 to 10 minute walk) and access to good value Rome public transport system. Rooms very small (especially the shower cubicle), in need of some basic... more

Hotel Virginia was clean, in a convenient location and reasonably priced for the area. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was small but we were only using it to sleep in. The area round the hotel felt perfectly safe even at midnight and was not seedy. The breakfast at the cafe was standard Italian but was served efficiently. more

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It was very well situated, well priced, friendly staff. For those that only go to the chain american hotels then this may not be the type of place that would suit you. If you are open to a simple, inexpensive, no frills, clean place ... then I recommend it. If you want only... more

My husband and I stayed here for a week during our first visit to Rome. It is very close to both the Termini and Castro Pretorio metro stations. You will not find overwhelming room or luxury here, but simply cleanliness, pleasantness, and affordability. There was daily maid service. The in-room fridge was great, because it is very close to SIR... more

We chose this hotel for its relatively low price and good location (10 min. walk from the Termini station, close to several bus lines). Indeed, it is a small cosy hotel in an old typical Rome building. The rooms are spacious enough, the furniture adequate. The breakfast is symbolic: you get a "breakfast ticket" and have to walk some 100-200... more

Hotel Virginia is about 10 minutes walk from Termini (the main train station). It was convinient because we just took a train from the airport, and saved money on the taxi. When we got to the hotel there was a problem with the elevator, it wasn't working from the ground floor, so we had to carry our luggage up the... more
