Cute little hotel in Rome's best neighborhood. Perfect location in charming old building on a sidestreet without traffic. Altough, it is not for spoiled travellers who expect North American room standards, nor for kids. Rooms are really small, as are bathrooms, but hotel is charming. more

The hotel is in a very nice area but apart from that it has been a very disappointing experience. We went there with our 3 children. The bathroom (bathroom? just a toilet, a sink and a shower with no place even to have your beautycase at easy reach) is so small that you cannot move around (imagine with small children...)... more

This is a charming little hotel in a great neighborhood, but it definitely has some downsides. First, it is not the easiest place to find as it is located in a small alley that is not marked on many maps of Rome. The directions provided on the hotel website were not particularly helpful. We ended up walking around (with all... more

Location was excellent, but the cab driver had a hard time finding it. Rooms small but clean. Two of our party had rooms upstairs and they were much nicer than our ground floor room. Breakfast was adequate. delivered to the room. Neighborhood perfect. We were able to take the bus anywhere (like the vatican) or walk to the forum, or... more

First the positive things: This hotel is in a great area, and the rooms, while tiny, are charming. The staff were reasonably friendly although they couldn't answer some pretty basic questions. But there's this place is NOT worth 120 Euros a night - it was more like something that would normally be about 90 Euros, if that. The towels and... more

Booking a room in this hotel was a very bad choice. The staff and manager were rude and unhelpful. The manager does not know what customer care means and only shouts at customers. That was a really scary experience. A hotel to be avoided at all cost. more

We just came back from 2 weeks in Italy and staying at this place was the only negative. It was unbelievably small - we were stuck up in an attic room that essentially only had space for the bed. We had nowhere to sit or stand and could not open our suitcases at the same time. The room would have... more

Before organized my trip I check your web site sometimes I'm scared about Hotels in Europe because I'm travelling alone but in this trip I found helpful staff specially the Manager Alessandro(busy man), clean rooms and I want to remark delicious breakfast, fantastic cappuccino and strong espresso. The location was perfect the Manager offer me a map and organized tour... more

The Trastevere House is in a wonderful location. Lots of excellent restaurants nearby (we never had a disappointing meal), a real neighbourhood feel, interesting little streets to explore, and surprisingly handy for getting to all of the usual tourist sights (either walking or taking the frequent tram). Plus it's lovely to stroll along the river at sunset (and stop by... more
