We (2 adults & 4 yr old) stayed here for 2 nights in July 2006. We arrived late at night during a taxi strike. We were quickly led to our room, it suited our needs nicely. It had a double bed + a little bed for our 4 yr old. The air conditioning was nice, the room was big enough... more

It took us forever to find the location. It is smooshed between two buildings in an alley. Yes, the French embassy is nearby but it is around the corner. PROS: 1) Clean rooms. We booked a Deluxe suite so the room size was acceptable (240 Euro a night). I do know that anything below that is tiny. 2) The hotel... more

Great location, near Campo de Fiore and lots of great restaurants. The rooms were nice and clean, and the staff was super. We made reservations through Venere--- and e-mailed directly with staff who arranged for car to pick four of us up at the airport. Everything ran smoothly. Staff was very helpful. Would stay there again! more

I stayed here from the 18-22 May. Although I was disappointed to be moved to a single room (the bed was so small) because the hotel was full, it was the only issue of my stay. The price was reduced accordingly. (I guess when you travel solo you get bumped down the list easier.) The staff was very helpful and... more

Let me tell you about this hotel. You cannot stay in a better location in Rome, period. We payed 150E a night and this hotel is worth it. It's next to the Tiber and in the middle of all the sights. One can navigate up and down the banks of the Tiber to easily find your way and it's right... more

We arrived from Athens, Greece on a Monday afternoon and even though we had confirmed by email a room with a garden view with 2 twin beds (2 women), we were put in this horrible little room (didn't look anything like the rooms listed on the internet), with a view of a wall with big bold graffiti staring at us.... more

Excellent location close to Campo de Fiori, Piazza Navona, within walking distance of everything we wanted to see or an easy bus or taxi ride away. Loved the staff, friendly and very helpful and the breakfast was great! more

Smashing location, handy for Trastevere, Centro Storico but also easy to get to trams and buses. Room (superior!) very small, and little or no storage -irritating as we were there for a week. Poky bathroom; excellent shower pressure but shower head wonky. Noise from adjacent room real problem. Neighbours had 18 month baby which cried a lot. Why should we... more

This is a former convent, with facade intact, situated in a small, quiet street alongside the famous Palazzo Farnese (housing the French Embassy). My room was absolutely spotless and tastefully decorated, though smallish, even by European standards; the only drawback was night noise - conversation plus - from the room above (used by some of the staff?). Very helpful desk... more

This place was in the center of everything we wanted to do. The rooms were adequate size for european style but the bathroom was quite large with a nice large window. It was a little difficult to find. Be aware Mascherone does not go all the way thru to the river Tevere frontage road. We like to walk so that... more
