The hotel was in a reasonable location if you don't mind catching public transport (6 stops on the metro to Trevvi Fountain). Public transport is cheap and frequent so the location proved to be fine. The service however left a lot to be desired. Many of the staff were blunt bordering on rude. Compared to other Holiday Inn Express I... more

We stayed there for 2 nights and found the rooms smallish but comfortable and clean. The night manager was very heplfull with his broken English and was always willing to assist. As far as convenience goes it is well situated although a little out of Rome itself, very close to buses trains and the underground. The area is probably not... more

I don't normaly write reviews about hotels and it has been more than 6 month since my stay at this one, but the service was so bad so it kind of stayed in my mind and I felt that I really should share this with people. The rooms were unclean. The shower was discustting (I've attached the picture of the... more

- The staff were great but didn't speak very much English. - The location was out of the way but only a 10 minute walk from the metro station. - Surrounding neighborhood was univiting and somewhat intimidating during late hours of the evening. - Breakfast service was delicious! - Cleanliness was impeccable so it makes up for the hotel's poor... more

Good points- Located right off train line, near major bus line that takes you to most tourist sites. Friendly helpful staff. Coffee made to order at breakfast. Weak Points- Beds are awful, single pillows are pitiful and flat, no mattress covers, no screens on windows with monster sized mosquitos, no proper bed for children only a terrible pullout even though... more

We arrived at Rome Fiumicino Airport and took a direct train on FR1 to Stazione Tuscolana in about 30 minutes. The hotel is a 5 min walk from the train station so it was very convenient. This hotel maintains good standards of a Holiday Inn Express. Rooms are small but you won't be spending much time in the hotel given... more

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Roma San Giovanni for 3 nights at the end of October as it was an economical base with family rooms for visiting Rome. The hotel is modern and the rooms functional rather than luxurious. For 2 adults and 2 children we had a double bed and a double sofa bed, there was a... more

I would not recommend this hotel. We had problems after problems and the staff were not very helpful! 1. There are no safes in the rooms so get ready to carry all your valubles with you everywhere 2. Bathrooms had lots of mildew in the showers and it floods! We asked them to fix this the first day we got... more

The location is in a quiet neighborhood, close to the train station and the subway. The breakfast was excellent, better than expected, and the staff friendly and attentive. I would definitely stay there again. We loved the place, the room was nice, quiet, and well appointed. The perfect place to be sightseeing during the day and come back to. more

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights with my wife and daughter and basically it is a good hotel and for Rome good value for money. The area is not great but I felt quite safe. The walk to the metro does become a bit of a bore especially after a long day walking the sites. I didn't find... more
