I spent several days at the hotel in October and I agree with the other reviewers, this hotel is pretty close to excellent but there are one or two issues. Rooms are spacious, modern, immaculate and the bathrooms are large and well equipped--tons of hot water. Excellent bed and I found the concierge to be extraordinarily helpful. Now the issues:... more

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights while on vacation in rome. Location: My feelings about the location are mixed. It is not near the Metro, but it is easily accessible by various bus lines. The 170 bus picks you up at the train station and takes you directly to the hotel. Other buses facilitate seeing most of the... more

We stayed at the 47 from Sept. 29-Oct .2 and thought the rooms, food, and location were exceptional. We never encountered slow service in the rooftop restaurant (Circus) or in the mainfloor bar which served lunch. One waiter in the Circus restaurant, Antonio, did everything possible to make our dinner enjoyable. The front desk people (Elena especially and Carlo the... more

Very nice and clean hotel but the service is not up to par. It was our first visit to Rome and we would have appreciated a little more open suggestions of top things to do, nightlife, etc. Felt their staff was not up to par with the current tourist events in their city and sometimes they were a little short... more

I have been an avid user of Tripadvisor for a number of years but never a contributor … until now. Such was our delight with the Fortyseven – I have been compelled to write this review. From the moment we arrived, our stay with the Fortyseven was a delight. We travelled to Rome for a 3-night break to celebrate our... more

What a fantastic place to "come home to" each night! I'm from the USA so it was REFRESHING to find a hotel that had a stand-up, enclosed SHOWER! The room was on the fifth floor and had a HUGE terrace with a STUNNING view! The staff spoke beautiful English and was VERY helpful. We wish we had made reservations for... more

I'll make it really easy by listing pros and cons. We were in Rome for 3 days for our honeymoon before heading to the Amalfi Coast. PROS * Size of the room was pretty nice (deluxe) * Cleanliness of the room * Free breakfast (good selection) * Rooftop bar * Professional personnel (perfect English) * Walkable to Trastevere where all... more

We felt we were sleeping among the ruins! It is all about location and the behaviour of the staff and we attest that they are both exceptional. We drove to Rome and had a little trouble finding the location since the hotel signage is discreet and the traffic has its own set routine. There was no parking but the staff... more

My husband and I loved the Fortyseven! We were within walking distance of many of the main tourist "must see" spots in Rome as well as couple less touristy areas- perfect for exploring. Our room was spacious and beautiful. The staff was lovely and very helpful. If you have a chance, have dessert, if not dinner, at the hotel's roof... more

Thhis gorgeous hotel was very well located to the main historical areas of Rome, as well as the Trastevere and high end fashion shopping. Our room was immaculately clean with a very comfortable bed and really EXQUISITE linens. The bathroom was beautifully appointed with gorgeous complimentary toiletries. The rooftop restaurant food was exceptional and we dined there three times during... more
