Although it is so close to Exit 23 from the autostrada, even when you get the right road in to Ciampino, the hotel is invisible from the road. This is a great hotel to stay in if you need to stay close to Ciampino airport. It is a 5 minute drive from the hotel to Ciampino airport. We stayed here because of an early flight out of Ciampino airport. This hotel is very close to the airport, so close, that you could literally walk to the runway. It was close to a disaster staying there. But some parts of the experience make up for it. The rooms were old. Bed was uncomfortable. Tap water had a funny taste (weird to be exact). We chose this hotel because it is close to Ciampino Airport. Big mistake. Unfortunately, it took our cab driver 40 minutes to find the hotel less than 2 km from the airport. We used the Palacavicchi for an o'night stay, to catch an early flight from Ciampino. On a quick phone call we were picked up within 5 minutes by the hotel's minibus and its cheerful driver.
