The Hotel Texas is, in my experience, the least expensive and absolutely cleanest hotel available in Rome. The bathrooms, although rustic, are SPOTLESS. The staff cleans at least twice a day. They arent glamourous, but the rooms are perfectly comfortable and the linens are fresh. The staff brought my husband and I breakfast in our rooms each morning. They make... more

A group of friends and I stayed in the Hotel Texas over Easter weekend, sharing the 6 person room with shower & toilet down the hall. I have since learned to never book a hotel that has no reviews written about it. Good points: -good location, right next to la Repubblica, close to train station, but not too close -room... more
