We have just returned from a great 3 days staying at Hotel Garda, which is in a great location for sightseeing with the main sights only a short walk away. The room was very clean and the hotel was well maintained. The entrance is not immediately obvious as the hotel is situated on the top floors of a building on... more

The breakfast consisted of cold croissants and grapefruit juice. The coffee selection was good but I had to have a follow up breakfast after I left. I was not allowed to have a person in my room for a few hours. I had booked a single room and my guest had to pay off the front desk guy off to... more

The best thing about hotel Garda is the location – 30 meters from via Veneto, in a lovely and safe neighbourhood. Transport connections are good (if they can be good in Rome), with metro stations Barberini and Spagna within 10 minutes walking distance and numerous bus stops even closer to the hotel. There is a big GS grocery store near... more

We booked this hotel through EasyJet and chose it for its location, in spite of reading one or two dubious reviews with Trip Advisor. Having read tips about finding the hotel - there is no obvious frontage - we had a very pleasant experience. All the staff on the reception desk were extremely helpful and friendly. Our double room was... more

We stayed at Hotel Garda and booked with Easy to book and sure enough they were! The hotel location is excellent as it is just off the Via Veneto, a curving road with nice shops and restaurants. It is also 5 mins walk from the lovely Parc Borghese, so for those who seek a respite from the city - here... more

After staying at two other nice hotels in Italy, we had the misfortune of staying at Hotel Garda on our last 2 nights. The lobby looked OK, which was deceiving. Our room was a TINY triple, with 3 beds within inches of each other, two of them with a tacky mirror headboard. There were various dirty smears on the walls... more

I stayed here for three nights over the May bank holiday weekend and had a lovely time. The hotel is in a great location: just off the Via Veneto, 2 minutes from the Borghese gardens, about 5 minutes from Piazza Barberini, 10 minutes to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain, yet very quiet and easy to get to sleep. The... more

I went to Rome for my 18th birthday with 2 of my friends. We decided to stay at the Hotel Garda despite reading bad reviews about it as the location sounded perfect to us, and we wouldn't be in the hotel much anyway. With reading the bad reviews I was expecting the worst but when I arrived realised it was... more

We only had one night in Rome and this was one of the few hotels that offered a quad room, important to us as our kids are 8 and 5. The location was fine, relatively quiet but walking distance to the Trevi fountain and Spanish Steps for instance. We found the comments of an earlier traveller helpful in finding the... more

Very good hotel. Good Location. You could walk to TREVI FOUNTAIN in 10-15 mins and to the SPANISH STEPS in the same amount of time. There was a tourist bus stop 5 mins walk away near Barberini Metro. Rooms clean and suitable (our room happened to be the same size as any premier travel inn or travelodge back in the... more
