We stayed in hotel Serena for 3 nights but we would have been willing to stay for far longer. The hotel is well worthy of its 3 stars and provided a clean, comfortable and enjoyable stay. As other reviews have said the hotel is very close to the main station and therefore at the heart of the metro as well.... more

We stayed for one night having booked on the internet from another part of Italy. This was one of the best value for money hotels we have stayed at. Its a 3 star but has the standard a 4 but with 3 star prices. Its always a worry before you get to your hotel, we need not have been. more

Been to Rome for 10 days and been for 9 nights in the hotel. The hotel is situated near the Termini station and this has made it easy for us to take our luggage to and from the hotel. In fact we just carried them by foot. Despite being near the train station, it was reasonably quiet in the rooms.... more

Our first time in Europe and we decided to go cheap on hotels since we figured we would be out for the most of the day. The service was pretty standard, they spoke English. The room was very small, just right for sleeping. The bathroom was small, just right for taking a shower. The Elevator was very helpful. The neighborhood... more

Hotel is well situated, close to city center (20 min by foot) and really close to Termini station which is convenient to go to airport or take metro. Rooms are renovated, really clean, but not so big. Buffet breakfast is ok. more

The hotel is about 5 minutes away from Termini station, which is the main train station of Rome. It is also where the two metro lines meet, making it very convenient to get around. However, the surrounding area is quite rough, so it may not be ideal for everyone. The staff were all very friendly and spoke decent English. The... more

We wanted a central, cheap bed and breakfast to act as a base on our midweek break, and i think we landed on our feet with the Serena. Five minutes walk from the main railway station, fifteen minutes walk from the Colosseum or the Trevi Fountain. Recently refurbished, i could not fault the rooms or the attitude of all the... more

Quite good hotel for the money you have to pay. The room is clean and not too noisy. While we stayed in the Hotel for some days in the beginning of August the airconditioning was working and the room was very comfortable for sleeping. The TV set (flatscreen TFT) offers a variety of stations such as Italian and Spanish channels... more

Apart the rooms being tiny and the street noisy and dodgy at nights, there was a few reasons why I don't recommend this hotel: 1) you might get unlucky and get the same room as us, the one that's over a kebab shop, and every morning you wake up to a disgusting greasy smell of kebab (which will stay in... more
