We stayed 3 nights in October. The location is ideal - about 15 minute walk from the Termini, about 5-10 minute walk from the Colosseum and the Metro stop. Lots of good restaurants nearby. The only downside of the location is that it is on a very busy street, so there is a lot of traffic noise and the last... more

Just returned from Italy and spent our last 5 nights at Paba Hotel. A real gem. I agree with all the good reviews. Two things not mentioned that we really enjoyed. The "lift" is one of those old fashioned black iron french kind of lifts that was a joy to ride. It was quieter than a hybrid car! Also the... more

I'll get the not-so-great out of the way first--hotel rooms are adequate, utilitarian. One of the two rooms had a much nicer bathroom than the other, and like Rick Steves said, the beds are a bit firm. Now onto what is great about the Paba. Location can't be beat. Easy access to get to everything, walking or the Metro, or... more

As soon as the reservation was completed I received a confirmation email from the hotel. Over the next few weeks we exchanged multiple emails regarding tour recommendations and restaurants, there were very helpful. I also received an email with several transportation options on how to get from the airport to the hotel. When we arrived we were allowed to check... more

We stayed here with my parents and my wife's parents in 2006. Upon arriving we learned that my wife had lost her wallet and the kind lady who runs this establishment spent the next couple of hours helping us find the numbers and make the calls to get her cards turned off. During our stay the rooms were clean (although... more

This hotel only has a few bedrooms and no restaurant but the room we stayed in was very nice. It was clean, very large (especially for European rooms), had a mini refrigerator in the room and included a wonderful breakfast - brought to our room each morning so we didn't even have to get dressed to go eat. The staff... more

What a nice little hotel. The room we had was huge! There was even a separate room (in front of the bathroom though) with another single bed in it. The bathroom was large too (for Italy). We had a really nice time there. The hotel is centrally located, so we walked almost everywhere. We did take the train sometimes, but... more

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Paba for 2 nights in May 2009. Alberta was very welcoming after we arrived from a delayed flight. Our room was small but efficient. It was located right of the reception area which concerned me at first but we had no trouble with noise. Breakfast was served in our room and consisted of... more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 days in June 2009. The hotel is located just a minute or 2 from the Colosseum. Alberta is the owner of the hotel and she cares for it very lovingly. She is a great resource in her knowledge of the city. Immediately after we arrived, she made a reservation for... more

Our flight came in late to Rome, and Alberta stayed up and waited for us. So very nice to have a welcoming face after a long day of travel. She brought us breakfast in the morning. So very sweet. She made sure our stay was very comfortable. Hotel Paba was a great stay because of Alberta. I miss her already.... more
