Stayed in Hotel Solis in early July 2009. The young desk attendant was cool and aloof. The front desk people are very snotty and very very nasty. They talk to you like you are their servant. Is it because I'm an American and don't speak Italian?. The location of this hotel was perfect thats why we chose it. Our room was immaculately clean and we can see the ruins directly from our window. This hotel was a great value. Rooms were very clean and not cramped. The location was the best part, close to the Colleseum and within walking distance of many other Roman attractions. We really liked it. more

We stayed in early Spring 2009 and the temperature was perfect, August heat would be unbearable and even the romans leave. However the rooms are air conditioned. Location of this hotel is excellent and very close to the city centre shopping, resturants and siteseeing.
