I stayed here for 2 nights in Nov. 2011. It is rather worn, and could use some cosmetic work, but it was a good location, and clean and quiet. It's about a 7 block walk from Termini......doable if your luggage isn't too heavy. Typical of small hotels, there is not large sign, just the buzzer system, and a small red... More

We stayed at the Ascot for 5 nights in November 2011, in room 28. The people at the desk were very helpful and friendly, and always spoke to us in near perfect English. We booked a "Double Room" and we ended up getting a room with 2 twin beds pushed together. We were fine with it, but I definitely recommend... More

Stayed here for three nights on a bank holiday long weekend. Even though they have a big, red neon sign at the corner, I guarantee you will walk right past the hotel if you are expecting a typical hotel front. It is actually on two floors of a residential building only steps from the corner. (Look for the small plaque... More

I stayed at this hotel the last time i was passing through Rome. It is an good, economically priced option. The hotel is close to termini so there is easy access to the train and metro system and there are a few eating options in the area. I wandered around the area (alone) at all times of the day and... We stayed at The Ascot for 4 nights in June. We did alot of research to find a reasonably priced property. The Ascot was one of the lowest priced properties we found. The room was spotless, good locaction, and friendly staff. The breakfast was simple but good. The thing that most impressed me about the hotel, was how clean it... More

Only stayed one night as i was leaving town the next day but saw three staff members all of whom were accommodating and helpful. I chose it for the good access to Termini, free wifi and 24hr reception (i arrived late at night) and that i could leave my bags there until i was ready to catch the train to... More

We had room 25, a corner room with king size bed. Room is very good size, clean, good storage area and desk with TV, Good size shower with plenty of hot water. Windows do shut out the sound from outside, but as noted in other reviews, if your neighbors are loud you will hear them. There is a market almost... More

Ascot is located at the intersection of Via Volturno and Via Montebello, close to Repubblica and Termini stations in central Rome. Proximity to Termini is good from a connectivity perspective, and not being in the immediate locality is advantageous considering that Termini is crowded and not entirely safe. Therefore the location of Hotel Ascot is a significant plus in its... More
