good: service, value, cleanliness, location downsides: if your room is on the second floor you don't get wifi the reception is on the second floor and you have to leave your key so if your room is on the first floor it's annoying to go up to get the key and have to go back down breakfast was very limited... Dear Travellers, I stayed here for four nights from 10th to 14th November 2010. At first it is decieving when you look at the front door, but when you get inside and take the elevator to the floor on which the hotel is located you will feel more reassuring that you made the right decision. We resided in room number... More

Stayed at Ascot from Sept 24-Sept 28 and had no complaints. There were 4 friends staying here and we had our own clean private room/bath. The breakfast was good, coffee, fresh buns (yum), butter, variety of jams/marmalades, nutella, juice, yogurt, milk, cereal. The location was literally 5 min walk to termini. The area was safe at night we had to... More

Rome is expensive, so for this price the hotel is perfect ;) Great location if you want to visit Rome for couple of days and don't waste time for getting to the centre by public communication. Rooms are very small and have thin walls but they are clean and air-conditioned. There is even wi-fi internet included in the price. Breakfast... More

We stayed at Hotel Ascot for 3 nights in May and were pleased. It is a less than 10 minute walk from Termini (very convienent for early train departure which we had). We walked everywhere in Rome except to the Vatican which was a 10 minute Metro ride away. We didn't really hang out in the area around the hotel... More

We have stayed in hotel Ascot for 3 nights and have to say that we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are larger than we expected. The furnishings have aged a little, but everything was spotless! Also they clean your room every day. The breakfast was very good. Obviously the choice is limited and mainly sweet, but there was plenty to... More

I was visiting Rome to watch Fulham play AS Roma in the Europa Cup. I was only there for two nights and so location was really important as I didn't want to spend ages travelling in and out of the city. The Hotel Ascot is in a fantastic location just a 5 minute walk from Rome Termini - the main... More

A very nice and tipical italian hotel! 2 floors of a residential building. Very clean! Spacious bathroom with bath-tub and shower and bidet. Very good location - a bus stop in front of the hotel, 7-8 min. walking to Piazza della Republica (with U-Station) and the same distance to Termini Station (Central Railway Station). Helpful staff, basic breakfast - coffee,... More
