Graciousness abounds at Hotel Aventino, which combines elegance and value. Our room was beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean, with a balcony overlooking the lovely greenery of the yard. Spacious bathroom. Helpful staff. The location is a little out of the way, so you mustn't mind a 10- to15-minute hike to the metro. Or better still, find your way to the... more

The Hotel Aventino is located in an upscale quiet neighborhood with fantastic views of Rome nearby . We really enjoyed our room with balcony, nearby trees, and chirping birds. The room wasn't "brand new", but comfortable and well kept, with graceful antique touches, high ceilings and marble floors in the bathroom. Very good breakfast. Good service from hotel staff. A... more

We were recommended the Hotel Aventino by Irish friends who had stayed there twice and enthused about the location and classy charm of the hotel. They were right, it's a gem. The view of central Rome from the gardens of the monastery less than 5 minutes away is unforgettable and from there a cobbled street takes you down to the... more

We were so glad to have been tipped off about the Aventino by some German friends of ours. The hotel is located atop one of the even hills of Rome in a very beautiful residential neighborhood filled with large nineteenth and twentieth century homes and several embassies. It is one of the most upscale areas of the city. The decor... more

My husband and I stayed here for tthe last two nights of a two week trip to Europe to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. All the other reviewers do a great job describing the location issue. You have to like to walk because the price you pay for staying in a lovely residential area is that you walk and you... more

This hotel has so much potential I'm disappointed to have to give it a mid-level review. Let me start with the good points. I think that the location is ideal. It is located in a very beautiful, quiet, safe neighborhood, yet the train station is only an 6-800 meter walk. From there you have only a very short metro ride... more

I went on a one day trip with my husband in July and found the hotel to be well beyond my expectations. The room was cool late july with air conditioning and a lovely view on the breakfast garden. The furnishings were posh and rather on the baroque side, with antique furniture, parquet on the floor and a king size... more

Based on positive reviews here on TripAdvisor, my wife and I chose the Hotel Aventino for our 4 night stay in Rome. It really is a lovely little hotel located in what seems to be a nice Roman neighborhood. We really enjoyed waking up each morning to the peace and quiet of Aventino and the perfume of the flowers there... more

10 minute walk to Circus Maximus metro or Pyramide. Quiet neighborhood. Awesome buffet breakfast - had a choice of pastries, cold cuts, boiled eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, various cereals, jams, and pie/cake of the day. Room a bit small, but very clean and very well appointed and great service. Enjoyed our stay over all. more

Agree with most of the other reviews, nice location (although a bit of a treck from the nearest metro), rooms very nicely decorated and clean. Only real downsides were that the breakfasts were not great (most things had already gone if you rise late like us) and the rates are pretty expensive. But I would say it is still reasonable... more
