Agree with most of the other reviews, nice location (although a bit of a treck from the nearest metro), rooms very nicely decorated and clean. Only real downsides were that the breakfasts were not great (most things had already gone if you rise late like us) and the rates are pretty expensive. But I would say it is still reasonable... more

I have seen on the website pretty nice reviews about this hotel, but in fact it was even better that I expected. We have booked two rooms: one double and one tiple as we came with our family: me, wife, daughter (12) and mother with her friend. For me it would be hard to differentiate all the areas, because the... more

The BEST thing about this hotel is how quiet the area is...& YES, it's in Rome! Our room was small and cute & clean & we had a comfy bed & a bath with a shower. We drank Chianti in the garden & it was so relaxing! We walked to the Colloseum in about 15 minutes (I think we went... more

sometimes in life you get a little bit more than you expected and our stay at the aventino is a prime example, this hotel is a little gem with a clean bright room a full size bathroom and a balcony that we requested (and if only we could have requested the weather to go with it ).if you are going... more

Fantastic hotel, with wonderful amenities! Located on a quiet residential street, between TWO Metro stops, Circo Massimo & Pyramide. It's a 10 minute or less walk to the "club district," too! I had a HUGE marble roman jacuzzi tub, with windows that opened wide & out, above. There was a wall-height heated towel rack, and marble floors! The bed was... more

After reading Trip Advisor reviews this place was pretty much as I expected it. We were there in May. If you are prepared to walk around you will be rewarded by the beautiful vantage points nearby, old lanes with high walls that have an antique aura as you walk down to the Tiber, and the general tranquility of the residential... more

We stayed in this hotel on a trip to Rome last March for my birthday. We managed to get a great deal on the flights so thought we would splash out a little on a hotel rather than going for a cheap one in a noisy location. Aventino was perfect, not too pricey and in a lovely quiet residential area... more

My wife and I went to Rome on our honeymoon, and we wanted a hotel that was quiet but still near the city center. The Aventine Hill, one of the fabled seven hills of Rome but entirely absent from some guidebooks (such as Rick Steves), is a great choice because it's the quietest area in central Rome. The Aventino Hotel... more
