My husband and my two teenage girls spent three days in Rome before taking a cruise. I'm very glad we stayed at Hotel Giardino. The service was excellent. The hotel is more like a bed and breakfast. The front desk had someone on duty at all times. You leave your key with them when you leave your room. It was... more

Staff was very friendly and helpful in suggesting excellent restaurants and tips on transportation. Rooms were ok, but small bathroom. Decent breakfast. Less than 10 minute walk to Colloseum, Forum, Trevi Fountain. more

Just returned a week ago from our trip to Italy. We stayed four nights at the Hotel Giardino and I am so glad we did. You can't beat the location. We walked to most every location we were interested in seeing such as the Trevi Fountain, Colliseum, Roman Forum, Pantheon, and the Spanish steps. Easy to reach the metro or... more

We chose this 3-star hideaway based on Rick Steves’ recommendation. His positives about the hotel are right on the money: cost, location, and friendy staff. For Rome, the cost is extremely affordable. Location was central – we walked everywhere. And the two gentlemen we dealt with over our two-night stay were exceptionally helpful and friendly. There were none of the... more

This hotel is in an excellent location- just a short walk to ancient Rome, the pantheon, trevi fountain and the Spanish steps...essentially close to everything. It is also right on a major bus route that will take you right to the vatican. It is a great value for the location. The staff is all very friendly and helpful. more

I have been in Rome for a short break with my boyfriend. It is not the first time that I visited Rome, but the last time I did not stay in this lovely little hotel. The location is amazing. One of the best spot where to start to visit all the main monuments in Rome, which could be reached in... more

If you are looking for a bed and a bathroom, this will do. The room has little personality. The helpful, friendly staff and the location are the hotel's best features. The staff were really great. I, however, was not a fan of the traffic and the noise that you cannot escape from in this area. Despite its unbelievable location, I... more

We picked Hotel Giardino because of its great location in the heart of historic Rome. It's a walk up one story with no elevator, but that wasn't a big deal. You ring their doorbell outside (look for Giardino on the list of building occupants) and they buzz you in. The young staff (they seemed like college students) were friendly, helpful,... more

Pros: This hotel is a clean place to lay your head when sight seeing in Rome. The location was awesome. You are in walking distance to every major attraction with the exception of the Vatican. The staff spoke English very well and was always willing to give advice, recommendations and directions. Breakfast was basic but great (juice, coffee, tea, bread,... more

This is an excellent place to stay in Rome. Even though my wife has some problem with walking, she was able to easily manage the steps up to the hotel. And with the central location of the hotel and it being just a few yards from the bus stop, this was the perfect location for our first trip to Rome.... more
