Somewhat strange setup - there are 5 hotels in the building, and the reception for Hotel Lousiana is on the first floor. Initial impression was not favourable due to very dirty carpet at entrance, but our room, on the 4th floor, was clean, quiet, and for Rome, spacious. Staff pleasant and helpful. Breakfast OK, once I'd mastered the coffee machine,... more

we stayed on the 5th floor which has been refurbished . The room was a good size and very clean ,the en suite was spacious . the hotel was within walking distance of the main sights . the room was always nice and cool with the air conditioning . A good no frills base to use for seeing Rome more

To begin with we found it easy to locate the hotel but had issues finding the hotel reception. It was actually on the first floor as there is a group of 'hotels' in the same building. Once found our stay was excellent! Our room was huge! We had two fold out beds in the front of our room - which... more

I'd just like to warn anyone who is thinking about staying at this hotel. Clearly when our travel agent made the booking she had no idea how appalling & dirty the rooms were. To start with the lift (yes just the one) was tiny, slow & ricketty & often went past the floor you wanted it to stop on. With... more

First the good news: the hotel is fairly clean, but their organisation and how they treat guests is just awful! We had a reservation, I confirmed it the day before we arrived and when we arrived at 11 p.m. they told us that both of our rooms were not available. They booked a different hotel for us and paid for... more

I thought this Hotel was perfectly pleasant. It isn't a hotel for a luxury weekend away, but does the job cleanly and pleasantly if you are going to be out and about seeing the sites all day/evening. The breakfast wasn't great, but I was forewarned so not disappointed (do not drink the coffee from the machine, it doesn't even taste... more

The hotel is on the 4 floor and there is a very small elevator. The room is very clean and good. Just the shower that was not that good. At the same building, on the first floor, is Hotel Monaco. The owner is the same of Luisiana's. Louisiana's breakfast is served at Hotel Monaco and both hotels have the same... more

This hotel provides good, solid, clean rooms and great service. The ground floor foyer and creepy elevator might confuse you, but once you make it upstairs you are met with a pleasant and efficient hotel. Although not overly spacious, we were very comfortable in our room with clean sheets, TV, wardrobe spce, and fresh towels and bathroom toiletries daily. Our... more

Its even quite good! The entrance and the reception are very modest - just a staircase with a strange elivator. The rooms are more than fine; bit small but very clean, fresh towels, flat tv(even a channel in english-very rare in italy),radio and cooling AC. breakfast was fine, horrible coffee but fresh buns- what we expected. the location is not bad- not... more
