Hotel is far removed from the city centre making you reliant on public transport (when not striking) or taxis. Whilst clean, and comfortable (beds especially) the hotel felt more like private hospital than hotel. more

Modern hotel but fairly basic with small but clean and adequate bedrooms. Breakfast is not geared to British/American tastes, ie no fruit, limited cereals, no toast. I stayed in Scheppers late April 2006 for almost a week. All Reception Staff I found to be outstanding, with good bilingual skills and good concierge-type information. The hotel itself was lovely. It was very new and the staff was terrific. It was a bit out of the city...10 to 15 minutes from the Vatican. The room was tiny, but clean and nice looking. The breakfast was nice as well. more
