Close to the trevi and the Spanish steps. Patty is a doll!!! Crispin is also great. We arrived really early in the morning and had trouble getting in but aside from that the stay was perfect. There is a great bar (Orazio) across the street and a nice little grocery next door. I wish we had more time to stay... more

My daughter (15) and I (45) were in Italy for two weeks. We stayed four nights in Boccaccio Hotel, in a room with privet bathroom; Patty was wonderful, very kind and helpful. The room is very simple, nice, spacious, and very clean. It was so nice and felt like being at home. The location is great too, a short walking... more

This is less of a hotel and more of a house which rents rooms out. We had no problems here but the key system is a little odd because anyone can enter your room when you are not there!! The bathrooms smelt of bleach and seemed clean, there was hot water any time we needed it. The price is excellent... more

It is a cute place, but difficult to find and to get to, on a slightly shady street. My biggest problem with this hotel would be its extremely loud location across the alley from an all-night restaurant. Despite industrial-strength hunting earplugs, I was woken up by loud laughter and shouting about once an hour until 5 a.m. Also, the key... more

No service - difficult to get contact with the reception before 9:30 and a strange 'take your own key ' system that let everybody get hold of each others keys. Small stange room with a corridor built into it which meant other travellers walked by to get to their rooms. Very dirty and run down bath - wasn't cleaned during... more

We stayed in one of the shared bathroom rooms during Easter Week. It was so nice to come back to a relaxing and homelike atmosphere. Patty was a gracious and wonderful hostess whose home was fitted with the unique and precious personal effects that illustrated a little life history. We could walk to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum.. pretty much... more

I stayed in Hotel Boccacio on June 21 for 2 nights. For 45Euro, single room, it was quite a steal! The hotel is on the 1st floor. Upon enetring the main door, you have to climb a few steps of stairs. (Not a bad thing, though, if you're not carrying a heavy luggage.) You either go in the elevator or... more

Our room was clean and had interesting, cozy decorations. However, our room did not have a shower and we used the shared shower down the hall. The shared shower had so much mold that it made me slightly dizzy and nautious. I would recommend the rooms with a shower, but not the rooms without a shower. more

This hotel is centrally located on a quiet street, a secured building with a wonderfully pleasant owner. The hotel is just minutes away from the Trevi Fountain. The room itself is bare bones basic with actually a bit more size than most in it's class. However the bathroom was decrepit, old (but clean) towels added to the general uncomfortable feel... more

“Clean and cozy” and a generally relaxed environment all-round. It was my first trip to Rome, and didn't spend much time in my room as I was always on the go. It is near the metro station Barberini, so it makes very easy to get around by bus and Metro. It is also within walking distance of the Trevi Fountain,... more
