I stayed at Chaplin B&B from July 10 2011 to July 17 2011. This was pretty much the hottest week of the summer in Rome, so I was worried about staying at a hostel with no A/C. It really wasn't too bad though. Make sure you keep the shutters closed during the day and your room will not get too... More

Chaplin's Bed and Breakfast was the closest thing to a home away from home. We had an incredibly pleasant stay, with all the privacy we could spare. Because it is so close to the Termini station, it was perfect to move around the city. Also, it is at a walking distance from mostly everything you need to see in Rome,... More

We were looking for accommodation close to the main railway station. The Chaplin B&B really fits the bill - just a couple of minutes walk. Our host Rene gave us some great tips for getting around Rome, good places to eat and how to beat the endless cues at the Colosseum. We were lucky enough to have the run of... More

It was quite all right, except that there is only one bathroom in the flat. Renee was nice and friendly but he wasn't around most of the time. Breakfast is all right. More

This B&B is superbly located for anyone visiting Rome, who is using public transport and whose requirements are practical. If you want clean, comfortable, friendly, handy, relaxed, it's all here, and more. It's a cross between an apartment and a hostel. The neighbourhood is "littered" with great eateries, and Rene (the proprietor) is successfully generous with recommendations for efficiently "touring"... More

Great location just a few minutes walk from Termini, but the best aspect of this B&B is the owners. Extremely knowledgable about everything in Rome, they were able to save us valuable time and money with their recommendations. The B&B is super clean, very secure and breakfast is very tasty. It was a home away from home for us. More

We stayed two nights at the Chaplin. Our accommodation was not bad in some respects. We faced a quiet courtyard. Our bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. Rene was helpful in giving us advice. It was cheap at only 55 Euros per night. Beyond those good things, there is not too much we can say that is positive.... More

We are 6 friends who recently enjoyed a 5-night stay at the Chaplin B&B, and would thoroughly recommend it to others. We chose this hotel as we need to be within walking distance from all the attractions and Termini Station, and this certainly fitted the bill. There are 3 generously sized clean rooms each with their own key and with... More

I booked a room for 4 night several months ago. Due to a last minute family illness I had to cancel my trip to Rome entirely. I emailed Rene a week in advance to cancel, told him what happened, apologized, and said I would love to stay with him in the future. He did not email back a confirmation of... More

I first stayed at Chaplin B & B Hostel in October 2006, and this is my fourth stay. It is by far the best accommodation I have had worldwide. I have stayed at many Hostels, B & Bs, and Pensions around the world, and Chaplin B & B receives top marks! The manager, who speaks nine languages, goes out of... More
