I spent one night at this place on May 15th. The lobby and breakfast room were small but wonderfully air conditioned. Too bad my room air conditioner was not up to the same quality as the lobby. Because of the poor AC I did not get a good night’s sleep – but I did on my flight the next day.... more

Quick overview: Just spent 22 days (April 9-30) in Italy as a single traveler: I stayed in 12 hotels priced from 50 to 80 Eur/night. I looked long and hard on the Internet to find the best hotels I could afford. In general, most of them are better than “budget/backpacker” hotels and you get great value for your buck: I... more

Hotel Cavour emailed to confirm my reservation and when I arrived greeted me heartily by name. The staff speak excellent English and were extremely helpful in helping me find a place to eat dinner. Breakfast was simple Italian style but adequate. Location is excellent. A 10 minute walk to the Collesium and Forum and about a 20 minute walk to... more

I stayed in this hotel for three nights while visiting Italy last March, and would definitely come back. I had a single room with shared bathroom. Since there only three rooms sharing it, I didn't have to wait most of the time. My room was quite because it didn't face the street. Room is simple but clean. The receptionist was... more

I stayed at Cavour for a week, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality budget hotel. The Hotel is on Via Cavour, about 2 minutes walk from the main station. Although it is on a main road most of the rooms face inward - our rooms were very quiet. We had booked one double and one... more

It has to be admitted that the area around Hotel Cavour is run-down, dirty and littered, with Graffiti on every building and most other objects too. The traffic is appalling, the noise and fumes are unbelieveable, and you take your life in your hands every time you cross the street. Street urchins will steal everything you give them the chance... more

A great find in a crowded city. 47 Cavour is very close to the Termini and an easy walk to all of Rome's major attractions. It is very close to the Coliseum and about a 45 minute stroll through the city to reach the Vatican. i would recomend this hotel to anyone. The rooms are very small but very clean.... more

Let me first start off by saying that if you are traveling in the summer, get a room with A/C...especially if you are from the U.S. and used to the A/C. Let me then warn you that the A/C's in Europe have about the same power as a Geo Metro. Let me then say again that this hotel was the... more

With a few minor changes this hotel could be a perfect base in Rome. We arrived close to midnight, hours late after a delayed flight from Venice, the young man on reception was excellent, as were all the staff throughout our stay. It is typical of hotels we have stay in when we have visited Rome, our recpt on the... more

We strongly recommend the hotel for its location, accommodation, services and price. We came to love it especially because of our receptionist, Massimo, but there are objective reasons as well: We booked a day before our arrival online a double room, the confirmation email was immediate. Getting to the hotel was really easy it's few meters from the Termini where... more
