Booked hotel one and half months in advance for four single rooms. Arrived reception said water damage in all four rooms and we can stay in another premises which was bascially an apartment. The Vatican Garden Inn was clean and the sleeping area spacious. The staff were always helpful and provided excellent tourist maps. Perfect location with the train only a couple of blocks away, and the Vatican only 5 or so blocks. The staff of this hotel booked 24 members of our family and the hotel only holds 15 people by Italian law. There were another 8 people staying there. The location was great. Short walk to St. Peter's, a Metro stop, shopping, and restaurants. The rooms were very nice and extremely quiet. However, the staff seems a little disorganized.
