My husband and I stayed at Hotel Artorius in Rome in April 2008. and Found it spectacular! We had an incredibly quiet room in a VERY NOISY city! Coming back to our room at the Hotel was like coming back to an Oasis. The Hotel is small, but very clean. Our room was a very nice size and again, very... more

This is an outstanding boutique hotel to explore the ancient sites of Rome. The rooms are not large, but none are in Rome at this price. The hotel is well maintained, the breakfasts more than filling and the hotel owner and staff accommodating to the point that many 5 star hotels in Europe could learn a thing our two. We... more

Excellent base for seeing Rome. Rooms small but nicely furnished, bathrooms excellent. Whole hotel spotless. Breakfasts brilliant and hotel owners and staff very helpful and accommodating. Have no hesitation in recommending to anyone looking for a location which is within easy reach of most of the attractions the city has to offer. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay again. more

Again we booked this hotel based on its good reviews. First impression when you enter is Wow what a lovely building, it has so much charactor with the old cage type lift etc, the place is immaculatly kept, the staff are attentive and friendly, always service was warm and with a smile, we were put in the escalator with our... more

Stayed here with my boyfriend in March 2008 after reading reviews on trip advisor. The hotel has a 3* rating but I think it deserves more. Well located, we walked everywhere. The furthest sight was the Vatican but even this was only a 30 min walk and there is so much to see en route. The Colosseum is only 10... more

We just spent 3 nights at the Hotel Artorius. It is a little gem. The family that run it are so friendly and helpful...just ask and they oblige....extra pillow, early calls and even earlier breakfast. The rooms are on the first floor of what would seem to be an old townhouse very tastefully refurbished. The rooms are modern very clean... more

We could not find anything wrong with this hotel! Excellent 2 stars family run hotel. Ask for room 108 (with the terrace) or room 103. Spacious room and super clean bathroom. Very quiet thanks to soundproof windows. We loved the high-tech remote light sensors. Also, the security sensors to open the hallway doors made us feel very safe. Great breakfast.... more

This is a family run bed-and-breakfast that has been in operation about a year. Breakfast buffet was substantial and was served in a covered outdoor gazebo with a grape vine growing overhead. Our room and bath were spotless. The high-tech remote light sensors and security sensors to open hallway doors were unexpected in this small hotel with just 10 rooms.... more

The Hotel Artorius is a fantastic little hotel. It is centrally located, clean, nicely decorated and the owners are very friendly. I've stayed in other European hotels but this was by far the best! I honestly cannot think of a single complaint. The breakfast was exactly the same each morning but it filled us and the cappucino was great. :-)... more
