Stayed overnight prior to catching ferry from Italy to Croatia. What a lovely stay. Given the reasonable rate, we did not expect such comfort and style. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit lifeless and in need of modernisation. It is clean but dated. Not sure how it compares to the other hotels in this run down port town. OK for a stopover before/after a ferry but not a for a long stay.

We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the port. It is just above the ferry wharf and an easy walk into the town centre. It's a nice hotel and the rooms are a good size, although ours smelt slightly of smoke. Breakfast was very good. They have valet car parking at 20 euros. They retreived our car promptly.

Book over the net for 2 adults ..... Room has one towel, one glass, the air con is set on 10c and is warm at 9.47pm and has been on for at least 6 hours and it's not even high summer! The lift can't fit 2 people and 2 suitcases in it. Reception can't help with the ships that leave... More

I am pleased with my stay in Grand Hotel but the reception lady could be much more polite. Breakfast could vary more.
