Like the mosaics of Ravenna the Galla Placidia B&B shines brightly. Past reviewers have described the Galla Placidia accurately - friendly, clean, quiet etc. So if you want to stay in a good little town, see sites of world importance, and a have great place to stay then go to Ravenna.

If your itinerary permits, stay at least overnight in the city of Ravenna, which is a vibrant city that has more to offer in addition to its dazzling mosaics. Stayed for two nights to see the mosaics of Ravenna and would recommend this b & b. Owner is very hospitable and provides a good, varied breakfast. We had the Green Room which was pleasant and spacious.

Our room was spotlessly clean and very roomy. It had a great view of red rooftops with the Basilica in the distance. Location could not have been better being a half-block from the main street of old Ravenna and only a block from the Basilica.
