This hotel is in a renovated former palazzo, with each room in the hotel containing a Venetian glass chandelier that gives it an elegant and somewhat decadent look at the same time. The place is clean, the rooms are large and somewhat sparsely furnished, with stuff that isn't up to the elegance of the old structure itself. The bathrooms are... more

We stayed in the Albergo Capello last year & loved it & so decided to have a detour to Ravenna this holiday to stay there & see the mosaics again. Many of the things we loved were still the same - the rooms are large & clean & pretty. Bathrooms are very good. The location is ideal. The female staff... more

We stayed at the Cappello for Valentine's day weekend. They offered a special package including dinner, chocolates, champagne and we were _so_ happy with everything. The room (verso il blu) was gorgeous and big... and incredibly quiet. The dinner was exquisite and came with wine and champagne. Reception was a little bit spacy, but in the end very nice. We... more

My husband and I stayed one night in order to view the magnificant mosaics of Ravenna. We were impressed with the beautiful renovation of the property, especially the Venetian plastering. The details of the bathroom were exceptional. It is sad that the beauty of the property was overshadowed by the coolness of the staff. I am passionate about Italy, and... more

This hotel was palatial / huge compared to some of the other places I stayed at in Italy. It literally had two large bathrooms instead of one tiny one (both of which were covered in wood and marbles). The service was extraordinarily wonderful, friendly and genuine. I found myself looking forward to eating a real breakfast here. I will go... more

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel, however our expectations were not over the top. I did not expect a 5 star room or hotel given the fact that Ravenna does not have that many hotels to begin with. This wasn't the nicest hotel we stayed in, but also not the most expensive. Ravenna as a whole... more

I spent 2 nights at this hotel in September, and was disappointed with the facilities. The location could not have been better, but the overall feeling I had was depressing. The upstairs large hallway was cold and uninviting, the breakfast was uninspiring, and my room looked "tired" and the lighting was poor. My bathroom was the the best experience in... more

I stayed one night and found the interior decoration was so sophisticated. My room-junior suite room named "Verso il Blu" was large, clean and elegant. The room light was little dim but it remained me of the Medieval Italy. The location is ideal for sightseeing as well as shopping. more

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and found it to be clean, the service pleasant and helpful, and the location ideal for taking in the usual sites.Perhaps it helped that I speak Italian, didn't drive a car, and that we went in October when air conditioning wasn't an issue, but overall we found this hotel to be an enjoyable... more

Chose this hotel based on TripAdvisor recommendation. Was very disappointed in the hotel. Center city location was very good, but otherwise a letdown. Parking was offsite and extra. A/C was very minimal. Room lighting was dismal. Elevator ran only between ground and first (our 2nd) floor. Second bed in so-called suite was a pull-out sofa. All of the above might... more
