We stayed at this little hotel back in July. I had contacted them previously, but we decided to stay at the Riviera&Maximilian because of the apartments (we were wrong, they don´t open the kitchen for stays shorter than a month).
After a night at the Riviera, we moved to the Albergo Sole, and we had a delightful stay. We ended up staying there for a whole week. There weren´t a lot of customers, but the position near the slovenian frontier and the people working there won us.
It is not a fancy place. I would say that it is a very "sixties" style hotel, but we just wanted a clean and nice place to stay. We had breakfast every day in the terrasse, full of blooming flowers and herbs ( the cook used to pick them up for cooking ... btw, we had a couple of great lunches, very good spaghettis). Every morning we would go swimming in the sea water swimming pool ( a bit old, but great way to wake up), before heading towards Slovenia or Croatia.
