I stayed in Aria di Mare for three nights in April with my mum and we thought it was the perfect location out of all the five villages for what we were looking for. Manerola is, in my opinion, the most beautiful and relaxing of the towns in Cinque Terre (we didnt make it to Corniglia though). It's very quiet,... More

Maurizzio was charming and helpful and the terrace outside my pretty, very clean room was the perfect place to end a day of sun and hiking. Incredible views. The best restaurant in town is next door. The only drawback was the long very, uphill hike from the train station. But worth it!

We stayed three nights in the top room with the private terrace, and loved every minute of it. Room and bathroom were very clean, and we enjoyed being able to keep things in the refrigerator and make in-room coffee. Resident cat is very friendly and visited with us on the terrace. Wi-Fi doesn't reach this room, but we were able... More

Maurizio Sassarini operates a lovely little hotel in the Cinque Terre town of Manarola. We stayed for three nights in September of 2012, and we would definitely book with him again. The hotel sits on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean, with a great view. Several of the rooms open to small private patios. It is a bit of a walk... More

This place was recommended by an Italian friend, and our party of three couples stayed for several days. It's at the highest point of Manarola, just along from Trattoria Dal Billy (see my review), and is a testing climb on a hot day if you've got luggage ! Neither Maurizio or the wonderful Mamma Franca have much english, but it... More

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The view was breathtaking. The Nativity scene was opposite on the hill and lit up the night. Maurizio was helpful and recommended two great walks since the whole coastal hike was closed when we were there. Both walks were truly wonderful and we had the most perfect winter... More

Breath-taking view from the terrace, also from the rooms!! Really clean and cosy rooms. Maurizio is a very nice host, and would go out of the way to make you feel comfortable. Manarola is in my opinion the best out of the 5 Cinque Terre villages! We would definitely recommend staying at Aria di Mare.

I do not like structure, we thought there was a minimum of Organisation but nothing. The breakfast really ridiculous. Beautiful, landscape, rooms very basic. Service does not exist for the price paid. Take a room with a terrace at least you can stand out, our room had only the window. There are better facilities, try to close them Baranin bed... More

Million dollar view from our terrace! Loved making coffee and eating the provided breakfast snacks while watching the sunrise! Squeaky clean room and bathroom with comfortable beds. Maurizio is a very helpful host, and Manarola is our favorite Cinque Terra village, both very authentic! We would definitely stay there again.

The terrace apartment was terrific. We stayed for three days and enjoyed the lovely views from the terrace and the gorgeous town of Manarola. It is the best village of the five in our opinion as it is quaint and has great restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable and great to have our own kitchen as well.
