Hotel Marina Piccola was just wonderful. We stayed for five days and couldn't have had a better time. It was close to the Manarola train station, and we had a great view of the sea from our window (room #4). The breakfast we had each day was great: yogurt, granola, croissants, brie, prosciutto, coffee, juice, milk and fresh fruit. The... more

We loved Manarola and this hotel met all of our needs. We stayed on the top floor, in a quad. the room is sort of divided into two halves by a large armoire -- kids stayed in one bed (sofa) on one side and adults on the other. The room was clean and everything worked except for the air conditioning... more

We stayed at Marina Piccola, and everything was excellent. The very best. Outside our room was the sea. Downstairs, the best restauant around. The staff was excellent, caring, efficient. The breakfast wonderful. I just wish I could have stayed longer and experienced more. more

This was a great location for us. Easy access to the hiking trails. Easy access to the boat to Portofino and the ferry to the other Cinque Terre towns. Definitely need to be in good shape for the walking/hiking but viewing by boat is a good alternative if you are not up to the hiking. We ate at Billy's -... more

Perfect situation just above the tiny harbour in Manarola. Easy to pop in for a swim from the jetty or the rocks. Our room (Room 1) was fairly small but had a sea view while being sheltered from direct sunlight until the early evening. The shower room was excellent and looked as if it had recently been completely modernised. The... more

We stayed at the Marina Piccola for three night in June while we explored the Cinque Terre for a second time. On a previous trip we had stayed in Vernazza and wanted to try something different -- we were rewarded with a great experience at Marina Piccola. The hotel is ocean-front in Manarola at the bottom of the hill, about... more

Perfectly nice room. The staff was extremely friendly, but sometimes out of sight. The only thing that spoiled it was the noise from yelling Americans (embarrassing) in a nearby bar or restaurant. It got so bad one night that an elderly local resident was yelling at them in Italian around 2 am. Great breakfast. Clothes dried very quickly...there was a... more

Marina Piccola is a charming hotel. The staff is friendly, breakfast was good and enough to sustain the hike to Vernazza. The restaurant is charming; make a reservation to eat outside. Delicious fresh seafood, the best pesto sauce we had in Italy. Rooms are small but neat and cleaned every day. As long as the weather cooperates, you couldn't find... more

A small hotel perched on a moutainside overlooking the Liqurian Sea. Views to die for. The room are small and basic but the view overtakes the hotel. No lift. A bit of a hike form the train station but doable. The overal experince was wonderful and the water front restuarant was superb great service and the freshest of the local... more

This hotel is right down there on the water. It's extremely convenient to the hiking trails and the train station. It is a decent trek downhill and back uphill if you park in the lot at the top of the town. The rooms are clean and attractive. The breakfast was pretty good for Italy; enough to get you hiking to... more
