This hotel is a cute little place set into the hillside. Although there isn't an ocean view, there is no bad view in Manarola or any of the other Cinque Terres towns. Plus, ocean view is prob much pricier. Our room was large and air-conditioned, though it is a poor excuse for an air-conditioner. You have to set it to... more

The upside of a stay at the Hotel Ca D'Andrean is that the hotel is well built, good sound-proofing, clean, modern and has air-conditioning-certainly in room we stayed in. The primary downsides are no view of the ocean and bit of a walk up the hill & stairs depending on your room but these issues pale into insignificance as compared... more

My husband and I spent 3 nights here in late September, with another couple. We wanted a small inn in one of the smaller Cinque Terre villages with easy access to the trails . The Ca d'Andrean was indeed ideally located. It is one of very few hotels in the village of Manarola (we only saw 2 others in this... more

This is a clean, acceptable lodging but a 3-star classification is definitely a stretch. The biggest problem is that the family that runs the hotel seems ill-suited to the hospitality business. They were gruff and generally unfriendly. The breakfast is very inadequate, especially considering the extra 6 euro charge. The rooms are clean but spartan and our bath was extremely... more

Apart from the short climb up the hill this hotel was great. Clean large room with balcony and air conditioning. Minor inconvenience for young fit couple that we were on the 3rd floor, no lift. more

We stayed here 3 nights - May 19, 20 and 21. We really enjoyed our stay, but be forewarned. You need to be in shape! After getting off the train, you walk through a tunnel, turn right, and then walk up a very steep hill to the hotel. Then, you have to carry your luggage up the stairs since they... more

The Hotel Ca d'Andrean is a good place to stay, if you’re headed to Cinqueterre. The village of Manarola is charming, not the least because it is not as overrun with tourists as are the other Cinqueterre villages of Riomaggiore, Vernazza and Monterosso al Mare. The hotel’s rooms are clean and, for Cinqueterre, reasonably spacious. Breakfast in the small, “front... more

Literally 5 minutes from the station, away from the harbour hub-bub, this little hotel was a calm and friendly base for our stay in the Cinque Terre. The rooms were clean, airy and spacious, with views of colourful town houses and the vine-clad hillside. Lack of air-conditioning was not an issue, even though we were there in scorching August -... more

I nearly awarded 5 points. Only reasons not to do is that the rooms don't have air-conditioning, which could be a problem in high season. And they don't take credit cards, but who uses travellers cheques any more, or carries a wad of cash? Otherwise, I agree with previous respondent, except that shower seemed fine to me - don't understand... more

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this family-run small hotel. We would love to go back some day. Originally a large house, the remodeling created 10 or so rather modest but comfortable rooms. The staff is great, the rooms are clean and western style and rent at a fair price. We had a small but adequate shower and a TV... more
