The hotel was nice. The reception and breakfast area are at one location, and our room was in another building about 10 minutes away. Stayed in Apt #1; the room itself was fine though bathroom was extremely small, even by European standards. My husband had to sit sideways on the toilet. My wife & I spent 3 nights here, and it was a perfect base from which to explore the Cinque Terre. The room and (small) bath were clean and comfortable, and Andrea & his wife were perfect hosts, although we didn't rely on them for much more then check-in/out and breakfast. more

In Manarola we stayed in the triple room at Da Baranin. We had a great little balcony overlooking the beautiful town. The hills and the sea made this the most picturesque place of our stay in Italy. The staff was very friendly and our room was clean and quite large for 3 of us. I would stay here again. more

We stayed in a 2-room unit at 36 Via Ronaldi. This was great for our family of 5. Lower room had a king size bed and a twin bed and upstairs room had two twin beds. Each room had a bathroom with shower. Each room also had windowed doors opening onto a balcony with views of the sea as well... more

Getting to Da Baranin from the train station was a mission - had to heave big bags down a flight of stairs and then up another at the station, then pull them up a steep road to the top of the hill. People we met on their way down encouraged us, saying 'Keep going, it's worth it!' And it was.... more
