The town of Monterosso is by far the best of the 5 Cinque Terre towns ,It has many restaurants ,hotels and beaches. No it is not large and is split into 2 seperate areas (walking tunnel joins them),both areas are old and beautifully Italian ! The hotel, grounds and public areas were all very clean and well kept. The gardener seemed to be out working all day every day and he was making a fantastic job. Placed provided the basics. We actually had a room with a huge bathroom! The hotel was clean, breakfast was decent, beds were comfy. Skip the pool - go to the beach. Has no A/C so wouldn't stay in the height of summer but perfect for early summer days in CT! more

We booked villa Adriana as they offered us an "Apartment" with kitchen facilities. When we arrived there there was a kitchen (and 2 rooms). Hotel Villa Adriana is a perfect spot for a vacation in Monterosso al Mare, especially if you are traveling by car. The hotel has a private, gated car park, spacious rooms, modern baths and many rooms have fantastic views. The breakfast buffet was the best we had during our time in Italy.
