We booked a room for two nights. After getting off the train we schleped our luggage up the steep street to Locanda only to be told we were lodged in a different building. We stayed in the apartment down by the marina, not in a room in the main hotel. After a warm Italian welcome from Franca at the hotel reception we were taken down through the village, to the waters edge and up an amazingly steep staircase to our piece of paradise.
