This is a very comfortable, 3 roomed place, recently renovated and perfectly located in the picture-postcard harbour of town. The view from our room was idyllic. The twin beds were not big, but the room was large enough to have an extra table, and free wifi was good. No breakfast, but lots of little touches like a wall safe, fridge, iron and board, a picnic hamper of plates and cutlery etc. The only drawback for some will be the stairs - which are steep indeed and plentiful. The journey from the station to the room involves lots of steps both downwards and up. Not good with any significant luggage. But then as the helpful Lidia noted, steps and stairs characterise the Cinque Terre. Value for money not perhaps as good as some others we have used recently, but I guess you pat for the location.…

My wife and I are very Lucky to find this lovely apartment in town. The host Lidia is very helpful. Before we entered the town, she already start contacting us ahead of time. She greeted us in the apartment when we arrive. During the stay, Lidia continued to provide us many helpful information, which is very informative. The apartment recently remodeled. The material used are with top quality. The shower room is almost brand new. Very nice quality. The Balcony is lovely. The sea view is wonderful. We are very happy to stay at this apartment this time. Thank you Lydia !

We spent 3 nights here in November, just entering the quiet season and there was hardly anybody around in the mornings and evenings (but hoards of tour groups 10am to 4pm) The Anita room is even better than it looks online - clean and bright and with everything you could need for a few nights on tour. To lay in bed and hear the sea surging gently just outside is divine and then to enjoy the view of the marina from the little private balcony makes this a very special place to stay. We ate takeaway most meals because none of the restaurants could match the location of our balcony!! Our concierge Lidia was waiting for us at the front door after we arrived by train from Milan (after first flying in from Singapore). She did a great job of introducing us to the features of the room and arranging a late visit from the cleaner so that we could sleep in the first day to shake off the jet lag. Compared to most places in town there are few stairs to negotiate with your luggage. We were also sent an email with easy to follow directions and photographs to help us navigate from Riomaggiore station to the front door. Highly recommended for any couple wanting a quiet and convenient location with a great view at an iconic location. PS - some reviews talk of hard beds but we found them firm yet comfortable. PPS - photos taken with a drone launched form the balcony ;-)…

We were lucky that our hotel hunt ended up with this lovely apartment in Riomaggiore. The location is perfect by the little beach of Riomaggiore (Actually we can point our room on the very famous photo of Riomaggiore, this made a great memory to remember for us!) We enjoyed the view of our room very much. The room itself is modern and well decorated, including a coffee machine. No breakfast served, but a small supermarket is in walking distance for fresh food in the morning. The price for the room was super reasonable. We recommend this place !

First the location: it is at the heart of Riomaggiore, the room on the first floor has a small balcony from which you can enjoy watching the life passing by. Then the welcome: she found us a parking in the town for the few days we stayed there, she came to pick us up there and showed us the way to the room. The room itself is very clean and perfectly arranged.

I was apprehensive at first, staying in the small town of Riomaggiore. I also wondered what the catch was for such a cheap room. It's actually just that great of a deal. The woman that helped us with the booking and telling us about the room is Lorraine. She was phenomenal and had so many helpful tips on our two night trip to Cinque Terre. The room is well updated and renovated. The only downfall is the mattress. I don't think we could have slept on it a third night. Everything else was stellar.

My room at Allo Scalo was magical! I had the top floor and a beautifully renovated huge room with a wonderful view of the marina. The chairs were magically positioned so that I could sit and sip my wine and watch everyone passing by below. I loved every second of my visit to this wonderful little village. I loved that I was in the heart of everything and close to the rail way station and the main part of the village for exploring. It was perfect. Lorraine was amazing! So warm and welcoming and full of advice. Two things to know - the room is not quiet in the early evening - but I loved the business. With restaurants below and people passing by - there is noise. However by about 11pm everything went quiet every night. There is no air conditioning - however - the breeze from the sea and the fan meant that the temperature was perfect in my room.…
