Lovely place to stay, good area and as everyone has said, Cinzia is lovely and welcoming. We could walk everywhere from our B&B and Genoa is one of those gems of a city, that isn't on the usual tourist track. There is certainly more than enough to do over two days - the Via Cairoli at night is a bowl... more

This is a great place as everyone else has already commented. Extra points that not many folk are mentioning are that there is a computer with broadband that guests can use for free. Also her restaurant recommendations are excellent and very varied. We went to three of them and they were all great ( in different ways ), very 'Italian'... more

We were looking for a quiet place, centrally located and where a lively 3 year old would be welcome. We were not disappointed - we absolutely loved the time we were there. Our little boy felt 'at home' in the apartment. Cinzia was a wonderful guide and helped us find restaurants and answered all our questions with patience and interest.... more

Stayed with Cinzia for 4 nights from 12-16 Sep. Wonderful room, breakfast and hospitality. As all the other reviewers have said this is a fantastic example of a B&B, in a country not renowned for them. It is also a great location because it is an easy walk to the harbour area and sits in a quiet residential area. Cinzia... more

We stayed here for 2 nights at the start of our trip to Cinque Terre. I corresponded by email with Cinzia to book the room and advised her we were due to arrive at 11pm due to a late arrival into Milan. As it turned out, we got there at 10pm which was a relief all round I think! Cinzia... more

Our stay in at Il Salotto di Lucilla with Cinzia will always have special memories. We travelled through Ireland, France and Italy. While we had great accommodation (mostly booked after researching Trip Advisor) there were three B&Bs which were above the norm. This was one of them. The area is quiet, and Cinzia suggested local eateries which were fabulous. We... more

Once again struck lucky after looking for somewhere to stay on Trip Advisor. Il Salotto di Lucilla is a wonderful place to be based for a stay in Genoa, and Genoa is a great base for exploring the Ligurian Riviera. My friend and I escaped for a 3 night getaway and staying here was one of the best things about... more

We stayed in the Salotto di Lucilla for 2 night at the end of April, beginning of May 2008 with a family with one 5 year old child and myself and my wife. We all thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, the breakfast and the lovely welcome we received when we got there. The B&B is located on the 2nd floor of... more
