service good, located in the center and close to the station (for trips to cinqueterre), provides parking. however rather expensive (83€) for a not comfortable room without a/c.

We used Astoria as a base to hike Cinque Terre - and that's pretty much all it should be used for. Was in the area for a family wedding, and there were not hotels available close enough so me and my partner stayed at the Astoria in La Spezia. It was August, and it was hot. very hot. and it smelt. Friendly staff, a nice variety for breakfast, spotlessly clean room. I had the "deluxe" room which was newly renovated, had a clean fresh bathroom, air conditioning, desk and large bed.
