Myself and a friend spent 3 days in Italy for the Grand Prix, one night in Bergamo, one at Lake Garda and one near Modena. Of the 3 hotels we stayed in the Berghotel was without doubt the best value. The hotel is quite new with a contemporary style in a quiet location on the outskirts of Bergamo. The room was spacious and well equipped with a lovely bathroom. The whole building is spotlessly clean and is obviously maintained to a high level. Breakfast is served buffet style in a bright and airy dining room with a more than adequate selection including juices, cereals, croissants, toast, cakes, etc.

The manager/owner was very friendly and helpful giving good advice on how to get to Monza and even checked the rail timetable for us giving us a printout of the outbound and return train times.
